This is a fairly simple and fun bulletin board that is student centered. Family members and/ or students throughout the grades (or only in your room) are asked to bring in a photograph of an at home reading scene and write and explanation to accompany it. Disposable cameras or Polaroid cameras can be lent to families who need them. Sketches of at home reading scenes can also be substituted. Expect to learn a great deal about literacy collections, rituals, and interests. These at home scenes often give the feel of having made home-visits.
