Circle Book

When studying parts of speech we make a circle book. I have the students make 6" circles out of cardstock. On the cover is a picture of an octopus which the students draw. Each leg has a different part of speech on it.
Inside they have a page for each part of speech which has examples written and illustrated. When finished the books are bound together with a short length of spiral binding.
I use Ruth Heller's excellent books to introduce the different parts of speech.
