Giving Thanks for the Diversity of America

I did something last year that worked out very well. I gave each child a cut-out of the map of the United States. They had to fill it in with a collage of magazine cut-outs that would represent the diversity of America (with no white showing, so it was just the shape of the US).

I displayed them with a title that was something like: 'Room 20 is grateful (or thankful) for the diversity of America,' and I included a quote about diversity. If you're interested I can try to find it.
