Proper Noun Bingo
Submitted by: Teresa Anderson
I call this game Proper Noun Bingo (though it can be used a review with any subject).
Materials:
* prepared lists of common and proper nouns( or any other review area)
* blank 8 x 11 piece of paper per student
Directions:
Have students fold their paper so they have 16 squares.
Instruct them to write the word "noun" in any eight squares.
Next have the students do the same with the word "proper noun"
Randomly pull nouns from your list. Students demonstrate their understanding by placing the word in the correct square.
Bingo is achieved by "covering" four squares horizontally, vertically or diagonally. Explain that once students have obtained a bingo you will check for accuracy.
